Ferris Baja Wins Big Air Again
The winter Baja event held over the past weekend in Houghton/Hancock proved to be another big success for the FSU Baja team. The team brought home the trophy for the “BIG AIR” competition for the second year in a row.
The success did not stop there, they finished in 9th and 11th places, out of 39 cars, completing 63 laps. This year both cars made it to the finish of the endurance race, a feat previously unattained. Although they did not capture the first place trophy for the endurance race, the team could not be happier with this years event.
The success of this years event proves that the team is progressing in both skill and knowledge. Professors Ben Upham and Gary Gage lead their team through the days events with pride and confidence. Both stated that they were proud of the team and the advances that they had made and will continue to make.
The next event for the team is a summer competition in New York.
